Pandava Gufa, also known as Pandava Cave, is an ancient and intriguing cave located at Karol ka Tibba, a high peak in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. This cave is one of the oldest and longest caves in the Himalayas, believed to have been used by the Pandavas from the Mahabharat era during their exile. The cave is dark, damp, and slippery inside, and visitors can only explore the first 10 to 20 meters. The cave extends all the way to Pinjore, Haryana, but the accessible portion ends relatively early.

To visit Pandava Gufa, you need to take the Karol ka Tibba trek, which starts from Chambaghat, about 2 kilometers from Solan. The trek is moderately challenging, with steep sections at the start and flatter, rocky trails as you progress. The entire trek is 7 kilometers long and takes about five to six hours to complete. At the end of the trek, you will reach the cave, which is located atop Karol Mountain. There’s also a temple and a statue of Lord Shiva nearby. The best times to visit are from February to April and September to November, when the weather is ideal for trekking and exploring.
