Serolsar Lake, also known as Seruvalsar Lake, is a stunning high-altitude lake nestled in the Seraj Valley of Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. Situated at an altitude of about 3,199 meters (10,495 feet), it is surrounded by dense alpine forests that enhance its serene beauty. The lake is revered by locals who believe in its mythical connection with Buddhi Nagin, the goddess of snakes and ghee. According to legend, the lake's water possesses medicinal properties, and there's a small temple dedicated to Buddhi Nagin on its northern shore where devotees offer ghee as a form of worship.

To reach Serolsar Lake, visitors can embark on a trek either from Shoja or Jalori Pass. The trek from Jalori Pass spans approximately 5 kilometers and takes about 2 hours one way. During the winter, the lake experiences heavy snowfall, transforming the area into a winter wonderland with snow depths reaching 5 to 8 feet. It is advisable for visitors to carry their own food and wear warm clothing, especially during colder months. Recently, small rest houses have been set up to accommodate tourists, making it feasible for day trips from Kullu if started early in the morning.
