The Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra is a revered pilgrimage in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, known for its spiritual significance. Situated in the Himalayas, it is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This trek is renowned for its difficulty, often considered one of the toughest in India. The journey begins from Jaun Village in Kullu district, nestled at an altitude of 6,397 feet. Jaun is a quaint Village with around 50 houses and a temple dedicated to Mata Katyayni. It offers stunning views of the Shrikhand Mountain and is the last place where trekkers can buy essentials before embarking on the trek.

The trek takes adventurers through rugged terrain, crossing the fast-flowing Kurpan rivulet, which transforms into a formidable river during monsoon season. The path spans approximately 8 kilometers from Baagi Pul to Jaun Village, winding amid the majestic Himalayan ranges. Along the way, trekkers can witness the natural beauty of the region, including lush apple orchards and small temples dotting the landscape. The pinnacle of the trek is the 75 feet tall Shivalingam atop Shrikhand Mahadev Mountain, towering at an impressive height of 18,570 feet.
