Baba Nahar Singh Temple in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh

Baba Nahar Singh Temple in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh is a renowned Hindu temple that holds great significance for devotees. Located in Dholra on the banks of the picturesque Gobind Sagar Lake, the temple is a stunning sight to behold. It is dedicated to Baba Nahar Singh, also known as Bajia, Peepal Wala, and Dalian Wala, believed to be an incarnation of God. According to legend, when Raja Deep Chand of Bilaspur married the princess of Kullu, the idol of Baba Nahar Singh accompanied her. However, the queen fell ill, and it was believed that this was because the idol was not installed in the state with proper rituals. To remedy this, Raja Deep Chand built the temple at Dholra and placed Baba Nahar Singh's wooden slippers, known as 'Kharaun,' as His symbol.

The temple is also known as the Dholra Temple, and it is believed that Baba Nahar Singh fulfills the ambitions of devotees. Fairs are organized here every Tuesday, during the Hindu month of Jeth (May – June), in honor of the deity. The temple's serene surroundings and its association with the legend of Raja Deep Chand and the princess of Kullu make it a place of immense spiritual and historical significance in Himachal Pradesh.
