Chharabra is a charming village located about 13 kilometers from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, India, at an altitude of approximately 8250 feet (2514 meters) above sea level. Despite its small population of less than 500 people, the village boasts several notable landmarks, including the summer retreat of the President of India and the summer residence of the Governor of Punjab. It also features a luxurious five-star hotel, Wildflower Hall, known for its colonial charm and panoramic views of the Himalayas. Additionally, Chharabra is home to a boarding school and a helipad. Wildlife such as jackals, kakkar (barking deer), and occasional leopards, as well as various bird species like the Himalayan eagle, pheasants, chikor, and partridges, can be found here.
