Bharmour, located in the scenic landscapes of Himachal Pradesh, is often compared to the region's own Machu Picchu, thanks to its ancient allure and mesmerizing natural beauty. Previously known as Brahmpura, this charming town was once the capital of the Chamba district. Known as "Shiva Bhumi," or the land of Lord Shiva, Bharmour is steeped in spiritual significance, with many believing that the entire region belongs to this revered deity. The town is nestled between the majestic Pir-Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges, bordered by the Ravi and Chenab river valleys. With its rich alpine pastures, Bharmour serves as a retreat for the nomadic Gaddi shepherds who roam the area. The lower slopes of Bharmour are adorned with lush orchards and terraced fields, contributing to its breathtaking scenery.
