Chhatrari Village is a charming destination located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh in India, about 48 km from the town of Chamba. Nestled at an altitude of 6000 feet, the village is famous for the Chhatrari Devi Temple, built in the 8th century by king Meru Verman of Bharmour. This ancient temple is dedicated to Shakti, the goddess of power and energy. The main idol, crafted by a skilled artisan named Gugga, stands 4 feet 6 inches tall and is made of Ashtadhatu, a sacred alloy of eight metals. The idol is depicted holding a lance, a lotus, a bell, and a snake, symbolizing various elements of life and death. The temple also features an inscription detailing its history, the king, and the craftsman, making it a significant cultural and historical landmark.

Every year, on the third day of the Manimahesh Yatra, a sacred pilgrimage, devotees bring water from the Manimahesh Lake to bathe the idol of Shakti, performing various holy rituals. The village of Chhatrari is not only known for its religious significance but also for its natural beauty. It is surrounded by lush Cedrus deodara forests and has 36 water sources with fountain slabs, adding to its serene and picturesque environment. Additionally, the village houses an Industrial Training Institute, contributing to the education and skill development of the local community.
