Dharmraj Temple, also known as Dharmeshwar Mahadev, holds a unique significance in Bharmour, Himachal Pradesh. It is believed to be the only Temple dedicated to Lord Dharmraj (Yamraj) in the world. In Hindu mythology, Dharmraj is the deity who decides the fate of souls after death, determining whether they will be sent to heaven or hell based on their actions in life. The Temple complex, part of the Chaurasi Temple, houses 84 ancient Temples, with Dharmraj Temple situated prominently at the northern corner. It is constructed from stone and wood, topped with a slate roof, and is locally known as 'dhai paudi', referring to the two and a half steps believed to lead to Dharmraj's court.
