Gobind Sagar Wildlife Sanctuary, nestled in Bilaspur District of Himachal Pradesh, is a natural haven located approximately 83 kilometers from Anandpur Sahib and 35 kilometers from Una. Established initially on 5th December 1962 and later reinforced on 29th March 1974, this sanctuary spans an area of about 170 square kilometers. Managed by the Bhakra Management Board, it boasts a rich biodiversity, making it a haven for bird enthusiasts. The sanctuary is situated on the banks of the stunning Gobind Sagar Lake, formed by the Bhakra Nangal Dam, which is the largest dam in India.
