Murli Manohar Temple is located in Sujanpur Tira (Tira Sujanpur) in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh and is an ancient temple with a rich history. Built in 1785 by a Katoch ruler in memory of his mother, this temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and his consort Radha. Situated on the banks of the Beas River, the temple's architecture is mesmerizing, with ornate murals depicting Lord Krishna, Radha, and the gopis (Krishna's female companions in Vrindavan) adorning its walls. One of the main attractions near the temple is a sacred tank, adding to the serene ambiance of the temple complex. Nearby, Baba Swarogopir Temple, located just 6 kilometers away from Dera Parol, is a place associated with Markandya Rishi. According to Puranas, the idol of Rishi Markandya was established here, and a natural water spring nearby adds to the spiritual significance of the place.
