Shringa Rishi Temple, located in Baggi village in the Banjar valley, is about 60 kilometers from Kullu and 6.5 kilometers from Banjar in Himachal Pradesh. This temple holds great religious significance for the locals, who consider it very sacred and believe that the deity, Shringi Rishi, protects them. Shringi Rishi is one of the eighteen chief deities of the Kullu valley and is especially important in the Banjar valley, where he is known as Skirni Deo. The temple is dedicated to sage Rishyasringa, a legendary saint from the Ramayana era, who performed a sacred ritual that led to the birth of Lord Rama and his brothers. Reconstructed in 2008, the temple's beautiful architecture, surrounded by apple orchards and traditional wooden houses, makes it a serene place to visit.
