Triloknath Temple is located in the Udaipur subdivision of Lahaul and Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh. It is about 45 kilometers from Keylong, the district headquarters, and 146 kilometers from Manali. The temple is known for its unique cultural significance as it is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Hindus consider the deity in the temple as Lord Shiva, while Buddhists regard the deity as Arya Avalokiteshwar. In Tibetan, the deity is called Garja Fagspa. The temple, also known by its ancient name Tunda Vihar, is considered a sacred pilgrimage site, second only to Kailash and Mansarovar.

Triloknath Temple is situated in the picturesque Chandra Bhaga valley in the western Himalayas. The temple is unique because it is the only one in the world where both Hindus and Buddhists worship the same deity. The white-painted temple stands on a cliff at the end of a village street, offering breathtaking views. At an altitude of 2,760 meters, the temple is a spiritual haven where visitors can receive blessings from Shri Triloknath, the lord of the three universes. The local tradition suggests that the site was originally a Buddhist monastery, although no remnants of the original structure remain.
